The Oluremi Tinubu Hardship Fund was set up by Senator Oluremi Tinubu in London on 5th April 2014 to support Nigerian students who have made realistic provisions to fund their studies and have experienced unforeseen financial hardship.  Applicants must be Nigerian overseas students in any Higher Education institution in the UK.

All grants are made at the discretion of the Hardship Fund Committee. Grants do not exceed £500; the same person is not funded twice.

Who can apply – The fund is open to any Nigerian overseas students that fulfil the following criteria:

•    Applicants must be enrolled in a recognised HE or University degree or diploma programme of study
•    Applicant must have Tier4 visa of study in the UK
•    Applicants must have paid their tuition fees in full;
•    Applicants must have completed a minimum of one term of their current programme of study.
•    Awards are made towards maintenance costs only and up to a maximum of £500.
